These include a large number of highway dedication boundary sections. All non-highway unresolved boundaries are also shown. Epping Forest Land is inalienable and can not be disposed of (section 8 of the Corporation of London (Open Spaces) Act 1878 and section 7(2) of the Epping Forest Act 1878). Epping Forest is one of the City of London Open Spaces.
Description: The dataset shows City of London Buffer Land boundaries surrounding Epping Forest. Buffer Land has been acquired by the City of London to protect the Forest from encroaching development and maintain the links between the Forest and the wider countryside. Please note that these boundaries have been digitized from various ages of pre-digital Ordnance Survey maps, therefore no guarantee is given of the accuracy of these boundaries.
